8dz dram@x is comprised of Danny, Ben, Chris, Kevin, and grid2bot. Stuck in a time warp, the quintet try to emulate the thought process of graphics and story-lines in the niche areas of the 80's and 90's through their music. Creating a soundtrack for something that hasn't happened yet.
The group was created in 2010 by grid2bot and Danny. The two had been apart of numerous musical projects together ranging from many types of music. They found their home in 8dz dram@x. The duo picked up Kevin Aguilar along the way and the three released their first full length Album - Nerds, Mutated Art, and What Geeks do with Music only available via CD. After releasing Nerds, they began filming music videos and the beginning production of their 2nd full length album Ciudad de Musicka: VHS Memories. After releasing several videos/singles for Ciudad de Musicka: VHS Memories, the album was slated to be released via only Vinyl. While filming music videos 8dz picked up Chris for midi in live and music video performances, then became a prominent part of 8dz dram@x. The band went on and amassed 30 songs for the album, had a small release then decided to take a break. The band along the break released Remixes of several artist that can be found on soundcloud. 2018, 8dz had been discussing a return, then late '18 grid2bot started writing for a 3rd full length album and began what is now VHS Memory 1986. 8dz is back at full force and creating all new music for a fictional film.
